Welcome to the 21st century

It seems like everybody has to have a blog these days. So here I am! Don't tell my daughter, though, because she will want one, too :).

I have been hesitant to start a blog, since my time is somewhat limited, but I wanted to have a place where I can keep track of my knitting projects and share projects and patterns with like-minded and interested people.

I have been a member on Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com) for a while and have a lot of my projects on that site, but it seems, unless you have a webpage somewhere to house your patterns, it's hard to contribute. Hence, my brand-spanking new blog. By the way, my name on Ravelry is, yes, you guessed it, Euroknit, in case anyone wants to look at my projects there.

In case you don't know Ravelry, you have to sign up and join (once you get invited - yes, it's by invitation only - but don't worry about waiting lists, etc., the list moves very quickly, at least it did when I signed up). It's a really great site to view a gazillion of projects and lots and lots of free patterns. The site has all kinds of great features! You can enter your yarn stash and look up specific projects anybody on the site has down with that particular yarn. And lots of other great gimmicks! I just love the site!

Okay, so this will be my virgin entry. ttyl
